Boris Vallejo & Julie Bell. A gallery of their fantasy artworks

This was one of Boris' earliest book cover paintings done for the novel Z for Zachariah by Robert O'Brien, published by Dell/Science Fiction 1976. Boris used his neighbours daughter to model the girl. Apparently she was not impressed by the way she was depicted.

Julie posted I started this painting a few years ago and finally decided to finish it! My purpose and concept for it changed during those years, so it evolved a bit.`
