A Siberian myth. The Suzle, voluptuous creatures of Siberian mythology, were hatched from eggs, and gave beauty and sensuality to the people of the earth. The Nydan, worm-like creatures with poisonous spikes, were envious of the Suzle and wanted to destroy them by making their warm hearts cold. The Nydan were eventually defeated when the envy of one of the worms turned to love, and in order to save the Suzle, it destroyed itself and all of the other Nydan.

HAUNTING

This piece was part of a successful series promoting Chess King, a clothing retail chain.

Little is known about this painting. It could be a project around the TV series Hawaii-Five-0, or perhaps a body-building promotion or even promoting Hawaii itself. There is a book titled Hawaii Three-0 by Donna Michele Ramos but this was published in 2013.

A painting that has not appeared in any of Boris and Julies publications, but briefly appeared on an earlier version of their website in 2012.

Originally produced for the World Of Warcraft Trading Card Game: Heroes of Azeroth (Upper Deck Entertainment). This is card #069 Holy Light used as a card in the Trading Card Game set.

The models are the famous Barbi Twins who commissioned the painting for a calendar and were very happy with the result. Shane and Sia began modeling at the age of seven when they posed for a layout in the Sears mail-order catalogue. As adults, their career has included fashion and mainly pin-up modeling.

...Upon her reaching the top of the spire, the Great Bird Enoch greeted her with a shower of petals, signaling a prosperous future.

One of the paintings for Tarot, a project Julie began with The Emperor in 2001, Boris added his painting Death to the project, even with Julies sons David and Anthony Palumbo helping out progress was slow. The Vallejo/Palumbo team finally gained the impetus to complete the project when beginning in November 2007 Heavy Metal Magazine featured four Tarot paintings per issue over the next twenty-two issues, ending in May 2011.

A painting of Boris wife Julie Bell. What Boris loves most about his work is the chance it provides for painting the human form. Other aspects - jewellery, fantasy landscapes and creatures - are all enjoyable, but it is the human form toned to perfection that is his chief passion. So he took as much pleasure from this painting, stripped of setting and narrative, as he did from many of his more fantastic pictures.

Both Phoenician and Greek mythology recognize Hippocampus as the creature said to have the head and front legs of a horse and the tail & hindquarter of a serpent or a fish. The chariot of Poseidon was drawn by a Hippocampus. Other gods of the sea are often shown or riding on these animals.

Human Torch (Johnny Storm) is a member the Fantastic Four. When their rocket project was axed by the government, they took the ship out for a premature trial run. It crashed and when they emerged from the wreckage they found that radiation had given them superpowers.

Now matched up with the griffins who would be her loyal companions for the rest of her life, Clemma felt no fear as she patrolled the skies for the first time.

The Hydra is a gigantic water-snake-like monster with nine heads (the number varies), one of which was immortal. The monster?s would periodically emerge from the marshes of Lerna to harry people and livestock. Anyone who attempted to behead the Hydra found that as soon as one head was cut off, two more heads would emerge from the fresh wound.

Nothing is known about the purpose of this painting which is available as a print from Boris and Julies website. Possibly a character from an RPG?
