Lady Deathstryke, (Yuriko Oyama), partnered with Daredevil against her own father, Dark Wind (Kenji Oyama), a Japanese crime lord and inventor. But after killing Dark Wind she has a change of heart and takes on his mantle of crime herself. Believing Wolverine to have stolen the secret of his unbreakable bones from her father, she hunts him down with the aid of the psychotic Reavers.

At one point in their conflicts, Dr Octopus blasts Spidey with the Nullifier weapon that induces amnesia. He then convinces him that he's really an arch-criminal and takes him off on a crime spree. Luckily, of course, Spider-Man comes to his senses in time to foil the evil doctor.

This is an illustration for a series of Fantasy Collector's Knives, issued by Franklin Mint. The paintings were printed onto the cast-metal knives. This was Boris' first attempt to paint rain - it meant going out into a downpour with a camera to study how it falls and gathers in puddles.

Boris's preliminary drawing of Lady Rain dated 1999 This version is much different from the version commissioned for the Franklin Mint Collectors Knife.

Lady Rawhide is an offshoot from the Zorro comic books. Having appeared as an incidental character she blossomed into a star in her own right.

originally this character's name was Anita Santiago and she became Lady Rawide to avenge her brother's mutilation at the hands of one Captain Monasterio. Her more unusual weapon is a bullwhip.

Here we see strong diagonals at work again, resulting in a dramatic composition.

. She molts animal forms so rapidly that her foe cannot find her among the teeming wildlife. Sensing that she is unwilling to attack him and bored with her childish game of shapeshifting, the Conqueror leaves.

The Enamored Sun has lovingly watched over the woman sleeping restlessly in a mountain valley. The beast on whom she dreams is her tamed psyche, fed by unceasing contact with her body/mind.

Storm's main talent is control of the weather, which she uses to carry her through the air. But her passing moods also affect the elements, so if she loses her temper everyone has to take cover.

A shy little Arizona filly named Lil Gypsy Julie is created this piece for the Bareback Show Studio C in Los Angeles, CA.

Princess-Majestrix Lilandra Neramani was a member of the royal family of the Shi'ar Empire. Lilandra was born on the world called the Aerie, the planet on which the Shi'ar race originated. The Empire was ruled from an artificial planet called Chandilar, the Imperial Throneworld.

At one point Peter Parker tries to rid himself of his spider powers but instead grows four extra arms. In search of a doctor to cure him, he bumps instead into the Lizard, who is a doctor but has no wish to do Spider-Man any favours.

Poster to advertise the June 1978 opening of the Loch Ness Monster ride at Busch Gardens Theme Park. It was the first roller coaster with two interlocking loops.

Marvel Fandom: Locus is the name of two fictional characters created for Marvel Comics. The first one, whose real name is Aaron Verne, has the ability to create geometric energy constructs. The second one is a mutant villainess and member of the Mutant Liberation Front in the comic title X-Force under the leadership of Reignfire.

Julie aimed in this illustrat1on for the old-fashioned feel of the 60s SciFi shows that she grew up with, like Lost In Space. Her models' space suits and equ1pment were improvized from matenals that came to hand plus some reference to technical books about space travel.

Wolverine off-duty and practising his martial arts. Thanks to a spell in Japan he is master of many varieties.

This painting was commissioned by Moore & Price of San Francisco, a video game packaging company that briefed Boris for a logo 'that would stand out from the crowd'. Well this one's got dinosaurs pterodactyls and everything!

LONE AXMAN
I have never traveled on this path before, and yet I already know the way.

I believe this may be another portrait of Odin, the alpha wolf at a wolf-pack in the Lakota Wolf Sanctuary in Colombia New Jersey.

A jokey album cover by boris, having the cowboy ride the cow instead of a horse. I don't know if it was used.

Julies sister Kat modelled for this painting, a fine example of her metal-flesh technique.

Loria, a powerful enchantress in Slavic mythology, knew of a secret cave where a magical jeweled fish named Alionu lived. When she visited Alionu, Loria would bring offerings to feed him. In return, he would grant her wisdom and magic.

Boris and Julie were both asked to submit entries for an erotic art exhibition in New York called Peep Show. This is one which was very popular. It is small by Boris' standards but was great fun to paint because of the contrasting textures.

Another sample to test the possibility of doing romantic novel covers. The models were posed together. This is more natural than drawing figures separately and then trying to fit them together, but it has its own complications as it can be tricky focusing attention on more than one person at a time.
