This painting is the center-piece for the 1999 Fantasy Calendar,
One of Boris' favourite paintings done just for the pleasure of it. It's also one of the most misunderstood, because people often think at first glance that the wings are growing out of her shoulders. Other than this it contains most of the elements Boris loves most - a human figure, textures, landscape and the mood of expectation.

One of a series of artworks for featuring basketball stars. The campaing presented by Mountain Dew promoted the And1 Mixtape Tour of 2006. The image below shows the artwork presented as placemats.

Kerry Palko is a fiend from Julies local gym who has posed for many of her superhero paintings. One Christmas he asked if she could do something more personal and portrait-like that he could give to his mother at Christmas. The result happened to fit a commission so all parties benefitted.

An interesting piece showinng an unfinished sepia-toned underpainting created in sepia paint and wash over graphite on illustration board. The dimensions are 11 x 16.5 inches. The underpainting is used to layout the work and place the relevant linework and shadows. An A colured version also exists.

For the first time in ages, the skies were free and the people and creatures of Syndrehan could come and go in safety and peace.

One of several paintings for the erotic art exhibition Peep Show held at the CFM Gallery in SoHo New York. The idea was to convey a feeling of sensuality without being too specific.

One of the paintings for Tarot, a project Julie began with The Emperor in 2001, Boris added his painting Death to the project, even with Julies sons David and Anthony Palumbo helping out progress was slow. The Vallejo/Palumbo team finally gained the impetus to complete the project when beginning in November 2007 Heavy Metal Magazine featured four Tarot paintings per issue over the next twenty-two issues, ending in May 2011.

Sherrahd found herself squaring off against the Dread Skumm Army. In her right hand, she brandished the Sword of Fury in her left, the Sword of Love.

One day when Boris was driving in New York, he passed an antique store, glancing in the window he saw an incredible statue of a screaming werewolf. Parking up, he returned to the window, only to see a statue of a peasant girl sitting by a well. So Boris compensated himself with this drawing. The story is also an insight into Boris wonderful imagination.

Boris has used this idea many times to commemorate various anniversaries for Heavy Metal Magazine. Often the cake is illuminated with a neon sign depicting which anniversary is being celebrated. This one could be considered as the base image.
