A folk tale from Barra tells of a lonely Kelpie that transforms itself into a handsome young man to woo a pretty young girl it was determined to take for its wife. But the girl recognises the young man as a Kelpie and removes his silver necklace (his bridle) while he sleeps.

This very popular painting was used as the cover for Penetrator the eighth studio album by American hard rock guitarist Ted Nugent. The album was released in January 1984, by Atlantic Records.

Presumably this drawing was done from a photograph, I am unable to find one with the exact angle and pose, although the IMDb photo is very close bringing me no closer to dating it! I think it may have been part of Boris' portfolio he took with him to the USA. Telle Savalas' most famous role was as the lollipop sucking detective Kojak. The TV series ran for five series between 1973-1978.

West and Tamar remained in the cyber-realm to digest all that had befallen them. West hovered protectively over Tamar, and she reached upward to greet her lover. He folded her within his wings and returned to his true form at last.

Ben Grimm aka The Thing is a member of the Fantastic Four. He was one of the members who were exposed to the cosmic ray and gained superhuman abilities in the process. He was transformed into an orange skinned creature with incredible strength and durability.

This painting illustrates the story Thirst, for the book Enchantment, for which Boris created the original artwork, whilst Doris (his first wife) wrote the stories. It's amusing to see Boris as a zombie in the bottom of the painting.

One of fourteen illustration Boris did for the book Achilles Choice by Larry Niven & Stephen Barnes, published by Tor Books/Science Fiction 1991.

This was done for a Japanese Video Game, the idea being to create the illusion that the figures are breaking out of the CD case. Julies sons Anthony and David Palumbo model the dwarf and the wizard.

Julie had great fun painting the wolf. one of her favourite creatures. She also enjoyed having the two main characters stare straight out at the viewer with their contrasting attitudes the wolf powerful and wise. the maid gentle and innocent yet determined. You have no doubt that between them they will triumph in their adventure.

As Thunderstrike, Masterson's appearance is identical to that of Thor, hence his superhuman form possesses Asgardian physiology. While his superhuman abilities were significantly above those of most Asgardians, his strength, stamina and durability were only a fraction of Thor's.

Human Torch (Johnny Storm) is a member the Fantastic Four. When their rocket project was axed by the government, they took the ship out for a premature trial run. It crashed and when they emerged from the wreckage they found that radiation had given them superpowers.
