In the 1970s, Jackson Dane was a Green Beret who was recruited into a special ops team known as Team-7. During one of their missions the group was deliberately exposed to a mutagenic substance known as the Gen Factor, which unleashed psychic abilities in the whole squad.

This piece may have been one of two submissions for the cover of Conan And The Treasure Of Python published by Tor books., I can find no evidence that it was used. According to Hard Curves The female character is modelled by an unidentified Shakespearean Actress, and Darryl James poses as Conan as in Conan And The Treasure Of Python.

Matthew Michael Murdock is a man who had been blinded as a young boy by a radioactive substance that fell into his eyes from a crashed vehicle, and even though he lost his sight, his other four remaining senses were heightened to superhuman levels.

Matthew Michael Murdock is a lawyer by day with his law firm Nelson and Murdock, and a vigilante at night known as Daredevil. Murdock's actions as a crime fighter had eventually put him into conflict with a crime lord named Wilson Fisk.

At the suggestion of Scott Usher at Greenwich Workshop, Julie decided to try out painting some horses. This is another from her growing collection.

This was an early figure study that was later completed as a fantasy picture.

One of the illustrations for the Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman Trading Card sets. Superman (Clark Kent) hides his identity and dresses as Superman when fighting crime. He lives in Metropolis, working as a journalist for the Daily Planet. He has a girlfriend, fellow journalist Lois Lane.

Done for a British corporate advertising campaign under the name Energy Beats Everything for Lucozade energy drink launched 23 April 2018. The bible story tells how a Philistine giant named Goliath was defeated by the young David in single combat using only a sling and (some scholars disagree) a bottle of Lucozade.

On the Cliffs of Fire, our powers will be tested against the dark forces. Only the strongest will survive.

Franklin Mint wanted a second, more acceptable version of Good Vs Evil. Of this. Boris says 'They're supposed to be fighting, but I don't know it doesn't really look like that. Being a Large corporation, the Franklin Mint has often over-managed their artists, trying to second guess the audience.'

Dazzler, formerly known as Disco Dazzler, was briefly a member of the X-Men before going on to lead the Rebel Underground in Mojoworld. Her talent is converting sound into light.

Painting created for SkyBox Master series?. Creator's Edition Trading Cards. 1995. Chances to do cheerful characters are quite rare in this line of work so it was a pleasure when this one came along, particularly as this kind of jaunty pose best suited the model.

One of the paintings for Tarot, a project Julie began with The Emperor in 2001, Boris added this painting Death to the project, even with Julies sons David and Anthony Palumbo helping out progress was slow. The Vallejo/Palumbo team finally gained the impetus to complete the project when beginning in November 2007 Heavy Metal Magazine featured four Tarot paintings per issue over the next twenty-two issues, ending in May 2011.

My best guess, this is another unpublished sample ported by Boris trying to get into paperback cover illustrations. This would date it to 1967.

This fantasy emerged which at first seems a contrast or even clash between the primeval foreground and the towering modern city beyond. Then one notices that it is crumbling and the bridge has collapsed and been overtaken by moss.

Book cover. Tor Books. At first glance, this heroine looks like a really strong character, then you realize she is maybe not all that quick on the uptake, although adorably cute... Her robot companion looks perhaps a bit brighter, though hardly the most reassuring companion in a fight. Julie used her friend Marla Duncan as the model.

This is an illustration for a series of Fantasy Collector's Knives, issued by Franklin Mint. The paintings were printed onto the cast-metal knives. For this project Boris could have turned to mythology to depict these goddesses, as he has often done before, but he preferred not to tie them to any particular culture.

This image, was first conceived as a painting for a Franklin Mint pocket knife. Here we see it redrawn for a sculpture concept. It was eventually used a third time for the handle of a collectable sword.

According to Roman mythology, Diana was the daughter of Jupiter and Latona, and twin of the god of light, Apollo. Perhaps the most famous myth about Diana involves the hunter Actaeon. Actaeon stumbled upon Diana bathing naked and, when the goddess saw him watching her, she turned him into a stag and set his own hunting dogs after him.

Domino chose her own name mainly because of her chalk-white skin and the black mark around her left eye, both of which are natural. But she does also have a certain unconscious talent for tilting the balance of luck in her own favour and against her opponents. She is a formidable marksman and also often uses a staff that discharges blasts of some undetermined form of energy.

.Doctor Doom has always had his sights set on world domination, over-compensating for his difficult childhood to become one of the world's most brilliant scientists.

The model for this painting was Julies children's doctor. Julie nervously added the flash effect after completing the main figure.

Dr Strange was originally a brilliant but vain surgeon who suddenly became a much nicer person when he lost his talent. Deprived of the skill of his fingers, he turned to magic and developed an even greater skill at that, which he uses to defend the world against the dark forces of the occult.

This is a variant to the original cover art for the book Dracula. Boris added the girl to this version.

A drawing for a fan at Dragon Con 2011. Boris and Julie always enjoy meeting a fan. The first science fiction convention that Boris attended was the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Exposition in Tucson, Arizona in 1977.

Julies aim with this painting was to capture a sense of mutual power, that brings the dragon tattoo to life with their dance.

The picture title is simply the brief given to Julie ? the publishers wanted a happy dragon in the morning sky over the English coast. Never having visited England, this required a little imagination but it hit the right spot.

Julie says of this painting 'I feel very connected to this character. She's very natural and wild, like the wolf, and I put a lot of myself into her. I even painted her in my own clothes.' This painting was where Julie discovered her love for painting animals, wolves in particular.

The idea here is that the dragon in the foreground is standing guard over the gems springing up out of the ground, while the other two dance playfully in the sky.
